- What is the recommended pressure?
Our maximum recommended pressure is 15PSI. And for someone under 150lbs, you can float and paddle well with just 10psi as well. On a hot sunny summer day, we do not recommend going over 12PSI as hot air on the beach can quickly expand and damage the board.
- When using an inflatable paddleboard, there are several things you should avoid to ensure safety and prolong the lifespan of the board. Here are some key things not to do:
1. **Overinflate**: Avoid exceeding the recommended pressure, as overinflating can cause the seams to burst. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines for the correct PSI.
2. **Drag on Rough Surfaces**: Dragging the board over rocks, gravel, or rough surfaces can cause tears or abrasions. Always carry it or use a paddleboard bag when transporting.
3. **Leave in Direct Sunlight**: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the material to degrade and the air inside to expand, potentially damaging the board. Especially in the summer, please release air of the board immediately after you get off the water. DO NOT leave your paddle board inflated on the beach/sand/rock/land. Store it in the shade or use a UV cover when not in use.
4. **Store Wet or Dirty**: Storing the board while it’s wet or dirty can lead to mold, mildew, and odors. Rinse it with fresh water after use and let it dry completely before packing it away.
5. **Use in Severe Weather**: Avoid using the board in strong winds, storms, or rough waters. These conditions can be dangerous and make it difficult to control the board.
6. **Ignore Damage**: Small punctures or tears should be repaired promptly to prevent them from worsening. Keep a repair kit handy for quick fixes.
7. **Exceed Weight Limit**: Overloading the board beyond its weight capacity can affect stability and performance, and may lead to damage.
8. **Use with Sharp Objects**: Keep sharp objects away from the board to prevent punctures. This includes jewelry, fishing gear, and other equipment.
9. **Transporting while inflated **: DO NOT transported the board while it was fully inflated on top of a car or in the trunk of a truck.Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the material to degrade and the air inside to expand, potentially damaging the board
10. **Disregard Local Regulations**: Always adhere to local waterway regulations and safety guidelines, including wearing a life jacket when required.
By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with your inflatable paddleboard.
