In the Kashmir region, true cashmere comes from a special mountain goat known locally as the Pashmina goat.

Its proper breed name is the Changthangi goat (also called the Changra goat).

These goats live at 14,000 ft+ elevations in the Himalayas, where extreme cold causes them to grow an ultra-fine, warm undercoat called pashm — the source of authentic Kashmiri pashmina.

A single Changthangi goat produces only 80–170 grams of this super-fine fiber per year, which is why Kashmiri pashmina is the rarest cashmere in the world.

    💎 What Is Ring Cashmere?

Ring cashmere refers to the highest grade of cashmere/pashmina — so fine and light that a full-sized shawl can pass through a finger ring.

It represents the top 1–2% of all cashmere quality.

    🌟 Why It’s So Special

To be considered ring cashmere, the fiber must be:

    Over 38 mm in length

Extremely fine (super-combed more than 200 times)

Selected from the very softest inner-down

Processed with extremely strict spinning and weaving techniques

From 1 ton of raw pashmina, only about 2 kg can become true ring cashmere.

This is why ring cashmere is known as the “King of Cashmere” and is prized by luxury houses across the world.

🧣 Why This Scarf Is So Thin and Luxurious

Your scarf is made from authentic Kashmiri Pashmina, one of the finest natural fibers on the planet.

    🪶 1. Ultra-Fine Himalayan Fiber

    Kashmiri pashmina measures around:

    15–16 microns in fineness

    36–42 mm in length

    It is:

    Softer than regular cashmere

    8× warmer than sheep’s wool

    33% lighter

🪄 2. Handcrafted to Ring Quality

Because the fiber is so delicate and long, artisans can weave a 100 × 220 cm shawl that is:

    Weightless

Thin enough to pass through a ring

    But incredibly warm

    ❄️ 3. Natural Climate Protection

The Changthangi goat grows this soft undercoat during severe Himalayan winters, making the fiber naturally:

    Strong

    Light

    Warm

    Breathable

This is why Kashmiri pashmina is called “soft gold”.

    Wrap Yourself in Himalayan Luxury

A piece of true Kashmiri ring cashmere is more than a scarf — it’s a rare treasure woven by artisans of the Himalayas.
